PRODUCING & PROMOTING HEALTHY LEADERS THROUGH MENTORSHIP & FELLOWSHIP
"The Spot" St. Louis will be an effective tooL that we will use to reach our targeted markets (at- risk- youth) through mentorship and fellowship. We will then teach, train, and equip the youth through various programs and functions geared toward challenging them to excell.
The "Spot" will be a smoke free, alcohol free, safe enviroment offering many positive outlets for youth
We Promote
decreased youth participation in risky behavior such as drugs, alcohol use, tobacco use, and gang violence.
decreased juvenile crime during critical night time hours
increased potential for youth to develop new skills and interest
increased potential for increased self confidence, and social skills
providing a place for youth to enjoy building, developing healthy peer relationships
providing a place to promote, and produce teen, and young adults for leadership replacement in the community
Our Ministry/Company
has establish a unique and successful tool that enables us to reach youth through the arts and multi-media based entertainment.
Our Success is based on the belief that before you can effectivley have an impact on today's youth, you must be able to reach them before you can teach them.
This Program differs in many ways from the programs that are already being implemented in the communities
Kaiser Family Foundation states that youth are devoting 6 hours 21 minutes a day to recreational entertainment. This is more than 44 hours a week. Although we are living in an entertainment based multi-media age, all of it is not totally productive . With this in mind we believe that this type of stimuli can be used in a positive, wholesome way to motivate and encourage youth to be more productive in our society.
We have a working model already in existence in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is hosted at "The Refreshing" A 21st Century Experience (click on links below)
